Find a tradie in Perth for your bathroom renovation

Are you trying to find a tradie in Perth to work on your bathroom reno or fix something in your home? Looking for a good tradie is a lot harder than it sounds. From my own experience, there are just as many not-so-great contractors as there are excellent ones.

That’s why I’ve put together a list of my top local contacts and suppliers – businesses and brands I know and have worked with personally. These are tradespeople in Perth you can trust to do a good job, communicate well, and charge a fair price.

Hopefully, this will save you a lot of time (and money) for your next project around your home (or business).

Perth plumber recommendation for bathrooms

Plumber: Perth Plumbing Solutions

Everyone should have a good plumber on-call, whether you’re building, renovating, or just waiting for a plumbing issue to come up (it’ll happen eventually!). So if you need to find a tradie plumber in Perth, I’d strongly recommend you check out my mates at Perth Plumbing Solutions.

I always get asked about plumbers, and I’m really happy to recommend Scotty and Keith. The quality of their work is always top notch and clients always tell me they’re punctual, well priced, and do a good job. They’re both from the UK (just like yours truly) and moved over here a few years ago. They’re fairly new to running their own business, so support local and go give them a like on Facebook.

perth best builder

Builder: Grand Cru Developments

If you’re looking to build a new home in Perth that’s bespoke and has those sought-after, high-end details, you can’t go past Grand Cru. Vito D’angelo is the founder and director of Grand Cru Developments and one of my best mates. I first worked with him back when he was a bricky (I was his T/A!). I’ve recently had the pleasure of working on some projects with Grand Cru, including a top class million dollar home that was a finalist for the 2018 HIA Custom Built Home Award. While we just missed out this time, a few years back, Vito and his team successfully took home this award on another home they built. So for a beautiful new home you can be proud of, have a chat to Vito (and say hi from me)!

tilers in perth

Tiler: Advanced Wall And Floor Tiling

Adrian is the best tiler in Perth I’ve had the pleasure of working with. And I’ve worked with a few! When you do a new bathroom or a renovation, you usually finish the tiling and then you call the shower screen guy in (that’s me!). Whenever I work on a job-site with Adrian or head in after he’s finished, I’m always impressed by the quality of the job. The angles are where they’re supposed to be, the walls are straight, and there are never any dramas.

Adrians Facebook link. But be warned – he’s booked out 4 months in advance so if you want him working on your project, you’ll need to call ahead.

Carpenter: J Finch Carpentry

Need to find a tradie carpenter in Perth? You won’t do better than Jacob at J Finch Carpentry. He’s my wife’s cousin so I can say that on a personal level, he’s a quality bloke. But he’s also amazingly talented, with fantastic attention to detail. Jacob’s really particular about getting everything right for his clients, he built our 120m2 composite deck which looks amazing which is what you want, especially with woodwork.

Go check out his Facebook page  and save his details for your next bathroom reno or home project.

Glass windows and doors: Integrity Glass Perth

While I’m a glass guy myself, I mainly specialise in glass shower screens, glass splashbacks, and mirrors. So I’m always happy to recommend Rodney from Integrity Glass Perth to clients who need help with other glass fixtures, like windows and doors. I met Rodney from working on many of the same sites. I’ve seen first-hand the quality of his work. He always does a good job and turns up on time. Rodney’s a cruisy, laid-back guy who’s great to chat to and he’ll never let you down.

Glass supplier: Walshs Glass

This one will more interest the tradies who are reading this blog, or my clients who are interested in where I source my products from. I get my glass direct from Walshs Glass, who cut all my custom made shower screens to spec in their Canning Vale warehouse.

I did a lot of research into where I was going to source my glass from because a few years back there were some issues around Perth with exploding shower screens. I only wanted to buy from the best. Walshs came highly recommended and I’ve rarely had any problems or defects with the glass I get from them. And whenever there is an issue (it happens), they get it sorted right away (often overnight) so jobs don’t get held up. The guy I talk to at Walshs is called Wes, so if you call up, let him know I sent you.

Aluminium and hardware supplier: Pivotech

Here’s another supplier I use that I can happily recommend. I get my aluminium from Pivotech – for things like shower frames and door handles. Pivotech is located throughout Australia, but have a WA office down in Mandurah. They’re a great bunch and very particular about quality, just like me. A lot of time I order polished aluminium fixings, which are really easy to scratch, but somehow they get them sent to me in perfect condition nearly every time. And if there are ever any issues, they fix it up right away and send via next day delivery. My contact there is a guy called Royce, so tell him I sent you!

Shower screens: AMAC Shower Screens and Robes

I don’t want to toot my own horn too much, so I’ll just let a couple of my recent customers share why I should be your go-to guy for shower screens in Perth:

“I really like dealing with tradesmen who clean up after the job is complete, instead of leaving it to the owner. Pride in a well-executed job is also a measure of a good business. Thank you.”

– Lena Elliott

“Excellent communication, you get to deal with Allan from quote to finish. Job was professionally done, very reasonably priced for the work involved. Turned up on time. A very neat and tidy worker. Very happy with our new shower screen it has given our bathroom a whole new look. Very happy to recommend shower screens.”

– Karen Johnston

Hope this list was helpful! If you do get in touch with any of these people, make sure you let them know Allan from AMAC sent you. Let’s work together to support small businesses, like these excellent Perth tradies and suppliers.

Over to you…

I’d love to keep building on this list and adding any other local tradies in Perth that consistently do a good job. So if you’ve worked with someone who you can personally recommend, leave me a comment and share their details below.
